Three siblings among four killed in road crash, authorities say

IMPERIAL, Texas (KOSA/Gray News) – Four people were killed, including three siblings, in a head-on collision Wednesday, according to Texas authorities.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the crash involved a GMC Sierra and a Jeep occupied by the three siblings.

The Jeep caught fire and the three family members inside died instantly, law enforcement said.

The driver of the truck, Gary Liles, 48, of Brownfield, was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Authorities have not publicly named the three siblings, but the Ector County Sheriff’s Office shared a tip. GoFundMe which lists the victims as twins Jaden and Jackie Jurado, aged 18, and their sister Nautica, aged 16.

The three were students in the Buena Vista Independent School District and children of Ector County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Lt. Heather Perkins, who has been with the department for 23 years, according to GoFundMe organizer.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the investigation into the crash was ongoing.
