Robots and a “grizzly bear”: how Musk wants to attack regulations

President-elect Donald Trump’s government overhaul supporters say they will rely on a “small team” of political appointees and artificial intelligence to find “illicit regulations” that Trump can unilaterally suspend.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk and pharmaceutical entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy were featured in a statement. Wall Street Journal opinion piece Wednesday on how they would behave”massive workforce reductions» in federal agencies.

To reduce regulations, they plan to embed lawyers across government who would be “aided by cutting-edge technology” to discover which rules are the best candidates for repeal.

“Our North Star for reform will be the U.S. Constitution, with emphasis on two critical Supreme Court rulings issued during President Biden’s term,” wrote Musk and Ramaswamy, whom Trump chose to co-lead a new department of Government Effectiveness.
