Celebrities hit back after Racist comments made about Puerto Rico at Trump rally this weekend.

An actor performing in front of the Republican presidential candidate and former president Donald TrumpIt is campaign closing rally at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday night, he called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage” during his speech.

“There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you know this, but there’s literally a floating island of trash in the middle of the ocean right now.” Tony Hinchcliffewhose stage name is Kill Tony, said at the event Sunday. “I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”

Puerto Rican artists Bad bunny, Jennifer Lopez And Ricky Martin ridiculed comments and supported Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris.

Bad bunny posted a video of Harris’ pledge to boost Puerto Rico’s economy, which she shared on Sunday in Philadelphia, at 45 million. Instagram followers. In the video message, captioned in Spanish, Harris called out Trump and told Puerto Rican voters: “There is so much at stake in this election.”

Bad Bunny shared part of the clip to his Instagram Story on Sunday, specifically highlighting a quote from Harris: “I will never forget what Donald Trump did and what he didn’t do when Puerto Rico needed a caring and competent leader He abandoned the island, tried to block aid after back-to-back devastating hurricanes, and offered nothing but paper towels and insults.

Martin tagged Harris on his Instagram Story on Sunday, writing “I remember” in response to her video recalling Trump’s response to Puerto Rico. Martin also shared a video of Hinchliffe’s comments, writing in Spanish to his 18.5 million Instagram followers: “Here’s what they think of us. Vote for @kamalaharris.” Zoe Saldana And Lin Manuel Miranda both shared Martin’s story.

Actress Gina Rodriguez posted the clip of Harris and her political plans to her story. She captioned the clip: “Puerto Ricans, where are you?!? COME ON @KAMALAHARRIS VOTE FOR YOUR ISLAND. VOTE FOR YOU.”

Other celebrities also responded to the comments, including Niecy Nash-Betts, who shared a Instagram video collecting more clips of offensive comments from Hinchcliffe’s set about Jews, Palestinians, black people and Latinos.

Trump, who is seeing increased support among Latino men, touted the overwhelming support from Latino men. Puerto Rican artists like Anuel AA and Nicky Jam who have many followers among young Latino voters. Puerto Rican voters living in the United States make up the second-largest Latino group in the country, including in key states like Pennsylvania.
