YSRCP Nellore district president Kakani Govardhan Reddy, along with former Sullurupeta MLA Kiliveti Sanjeevaiah and Nellore Zilla Parishad president Anam Arunamma, handed over a complaint to the inspector at the Fifth City police station on Friday in Vedayapalem.

After a series of complaints filed by members of alliance parties across the state against derogatory posts on social media platforms, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders have also expressed their objection against workers of the TDP for posting inappropriate messages on former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. and other leaders of their party.

Former Nellore district minister and YSRCP president Kakani Govardhan Reddy, along with former Sullurupeta MLA Kiliveti Sanjeevaiah, Nellore Zilla Parishad president Anam Arunamma and others, filed their complaint at the police station on Friday of Fifth City in Vedayapalem, demanding immediate arrest of those who posted obscene messages against YSRCP leaders on platforms digital.

“When YSRCP was in power, several TDP members posted obscene contents on social media platforms under the leadership of Mr. Nara Lokesh, but they were not arrested at any time. Now, YSRCP members are being harassed and arrested by the police, while TDP workers are not punished for their derogatory remarks,” Mr. Govardhan Reddy said in a press conference later.

He alleged that the alliance government is incapable of implementing the ‘Super Six’ promises made in the election platform and is resorting to illegal arrests only to harass people who question the incapacity of the government. “Today, we filed a case against the TDP members with proper evidence of their posts on social media platforms when YSRCP was in power, but to no avail,” he claimed.
