A fire captain missing for nearly two weeks remains unaccounted for after another search Saturday in southeast York County.

Tony Bortner was last seen Oct. 17 and his red SUV was found two days later near the Lock 12 Historic Area in Lower Chanceford Township.

Volunteers have been scouring a 4-square-mile area near the Susquehanna River for more than a week, including Saturday. Middle Creek Search and Rescue in Ephrata and Pennsylvania State Police are also searching for Bortner using drones and dogs.

Pennsylvania State Police have given no indication of how long the search will continue.

Searchers focused on trails along the Susquehanna River as they scoured the area for Bortner, described as a white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 220 pounds.

State Police spokesman James Grothey asked anyone with information on Bortner’s whereabouts to contact the State Police Loganville barracks at 717-428-1011.
