Anupam Mittal, the founder and CEO of Shaadi.com, recently took a dig at Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal over his controversial role as chief of staff. Mr Goyal applied for the job on Wednesday under unusual conditions: no salary for the first year and a payment of Rs 20 lakh to Feeding India, Zomato’s non-profit initiative. The announcement sparked an online discussion, with many social media users accusing the Zomato boss of exploiting candidates by demanding a donation. Amidst this, Anupam Mittal shared a fun post on LinkedIn, inviting people to apply for the position of “Head of What?” » position if they are unable to pay “his friend Deepi Rs 20 lakh”.

“All those who cannot afford to pay 20 lacs to my friend Deepi, send me your application. I am also looking for a chief of staff although I don’t know exactly what one does, I think this can be your first mission,” Mr. Mittal wrote in his message.

The CEO of Shaadi.com then listed five requirements for this position. “I want you, but you have to be willing to do what comes next,” Anupam Mittal wrote. He mentioned that the suitable candidate must accept compensation, send a resume, go through HR and hold the title of “Chief of What” for 6 months.

“If you’re willing to take the road less traveled, let yourself be mocked by the crowd in hopes that we’ll hold it to them one day AND find out if you’re really the leader of something while I take credit for deserves all your hard work, so write to [email protected] and I hope I don’t change my mind,” Mr. Mittal wrote. “Write to [email protected] and I hope I don’t change my mind,” he concluded.

Since sharing, Mr. Mittal’s post has accumulated more than 11,000 reactions. In the comments section, a user wrote, “Hello Anupam, well said with a pinch of salt but at least with a little more clarity and honesty. The chief of staff is nothing but the one who enforces actually his brain when you are not working or feeling exhausted . He is your Friday man, maybe a woman too, who is your go to person when you don’t know what to do 🙂 Hope this helps. and, to add, when you are in vacation, he can actually do the dog’s work and make sure the office runs smoothly while you It’s a fancy title, in fact, you can call him Head of Anything!
