New York’s Diddy Prison Conducts ‘Multi-Agency Operation’

Law enforcement on Monday conducted a joint operation at the Brooklyn federal prison, where Sean “Diddy” Combs is being held without bail on sex trafficking charges.

“This operation was planned and there is no active threat,” a Bureau of Prisons spokesperson said in a statement.

There was no immediate connection to Combs, and the prison has been under fire for years over conditions and staffing difficulties.

The BOP shared some details and said officials plan to release more information later.

The agencies involved included the BOP and the Department of Justice’s Office of Inspector General, which, along with other law enforcement agencies, are “conducting an interagency operation designed to achieve our shared goal of maintaining a safe environment at the both for our employees and for the incarcerated people housed at MDC Brooklyn. ” said the BOP spokesperson.

Combs, whose lawyers requested that he be held in New Jersey instead, was placed in jail. systematic suicide surveillance in the facility upon arrival, Fox News Digital previously reported.

The prison has faced criticism in recent months over conditions inside, which have become so bad that the Associated Press reported last month that some judges had stopped sending inmates there.

Other high-profile inmates previously held at MDC Brooklyn include R. Kelly, Ghislaine Maxwell and Sam Bankman-Fried.

Combs has pleaded not guilty in the federal case. New accusers continue to come forward in civil lawsuits.

Jeffrey Epstein, Maxwell’s longtime lover who died before his trial in his own sex trafficking case, was being held in another federal prison. in Manhattan, which was temporarily closed.
