IIM CAT 2024: The Common Admission Test (CAT 2024), the entrance test for admission to postgraduate management courses in Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other business schools, is scheduled to be held tomorrow, Sunday, November 24 , at different time slots.

Candidates must arrive at the exam venue at the specified time. They must carry with them a copy of the admit card and other required documents.

This year, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta, is administering the entrance test.

As per schedule, CAT 2024 results will be declared in the second week of January.

CAT 2024 Exam Pattern

The CAT 2024 test paper will have three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA/Quants).

The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes. Candidates will be given 40 minutes to attempt each section. Switching between sections will not be allowed.

CAT is conducted for admission to postgraduate and fellowship/PhD level commerce courses offered by Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Several non-IIM institutes also use the exam in their admission processes.

Although CAT qualification is one of the essential criteria for admission to IIM, it does not guarantee admission to postgraduate courses at these institutions.

After passing the exam, candidates have to appear for further rounds of selection as per the admission rules of the respective institutes.
