Brockton and Massachusetts State Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead.

The calls came in around 3:23 p.m. Friday afternoon, when Brockton police were dispatched to 125 Pleasant Street for reports of a shooting.

Once officers arrived, they found a 54-year-old man dead inside the apartments. The shooting does not appear to be a random act of violence, according to the Plymouth County prosecutor.

An investigation is currently underway.
