Question 1: What does COP mean?

Question 2: What is the Paris Agreement?

No cheating! The emus in this work of art at the top seem suspicious that this man is Googling the answers.

Answer 1: COP means “Conference of the Parties”.

Answer 2: At COP21 in Paris, world leaders pledged to try to prevent global temperatures from rising by more than 1.5°C.

Almost every country in the world agreed, for the first time, in 2015, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which cause global warming.

Answer 3: The year 2023 is the hottest on recorddriven by human-caused climate change and spurred by the natural weather event El Niño.

However, projections from the European Climate Service indicate that it is now “virtually certain” that 2024 will be the hottest on record in the world.

I will have more quiz questions for you soon.
