Two of the NFL’s most famous franchises meet on “Monday Night Football” in Week 8 with a matchup between the New York Giants And Pittsburgh Steelers.

THE Steelers (5-2) won in prime time at home last week against the New York Jets in quarterback Russell Wilson’s first start with the team. They’ve won two in a row and can take sole possession of first place in the AFC North with a win tonight.

THE Giants (2-5) have lost two games in a row and three of their last four games, including a 28-3 loss last week to NFC East foe Philadelphia. The Giants recorded a season-low 119 total yards on offense while the Eagles racked up eight sacks.

The Steelers have one of the best defenses in the league and rank in the top five in points allowed and in all rushing categories. The Giants have one of the worst offenses in the league and could give up assists. TJ Watt and the opportunity for the company to take the lead in temporary situations.

The Steelers vs. Giants game will start at 8:15 p.m. ET. Unlike last Monday, this is the only “Monday Night Football” game this week.

Joe Buck (play-by-play), Troy Aikman (color commentary) and Lisa Salters (sideline reporter) will be on the call for “Monday Night Football” this season.

The alternative show – known colloquially as “ManningCast” – returns in Week 8. The two former NFL quarterbacks will host the following guests for their simulcast tonight:

  • Lawrence Taylor, NFL Hall of Fame linebacker
  • Rapper/actor LL Cool J
