As the polling process for the Jharkhand Assembly election gains momentum, BJP candidates from Santhal Pargana region filed their nomination papers in Dumka district today. Paritosh Soren from Shikaripara, Sunil Soren from Dumka, Suresh Murmu from Jama and Devnandan Kunwar from Jarmundi submitted their nominations. On the occasion, Joint Election Officer and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed the nomination meeting. During this, Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed serious concern over the demographic change of Santhal Pargana.

He said that the number of tribals and Hindus in Santhal Pargana is constantly decreasing and on this issue, the Jharkhand High Court has also expressed concerns over demographic change. Referring to her visit to Pakur, Sarma said, “When I went to Pakur a few days ago, Hindu sisters told me that they did not feel safe in their own village. They said they were threatened, beaten and killed. thrown in front of their house. This was not just one woman’s story, but hundreds of women complained about such incidents.

Sarma further said that tribal girl students were also tortured. He said that when I went to a tribal hostel, the female students said they were beaten in connivance with the police and infiltrators. They protested over the issue related to Gayabthan and said they were facing continuous harassment.

He added that infiltration started in Assam 20 years ago. Then our people did not raise their voices. Today, anyone who tries to infiltrate into Assam is shown the way. But today in Jharkhand, infiltrators come to Santhal and marry tribal girls by trapping them. These infiltrators have two wives each and make the third wife a tribal girl by trapping her. Then they contest the election of the Mukhiya and whoever infiltrates becomes the Mukhiya. Hemant Soren does nothing because he is hungry for votes. Hemant Soren says nothing about infiltrators due to vote bank.

He added that infiltrators now constitute 20 per cent in Santhal. The BJP is fighting these general elections in Jharkhand for the identity of the tribal society. This election is taking place for our Hindu-Muslims who constitute the original society, namely Indian society. When the BJP government is formed in Jharkhand, we will expel the infiltrators through legal channels. We are fighting these elections to free Santhal Pargana from infiltrators. We will continue to fight this battle until all infiltrators are expelled from Santhal.

When BJP government is formed in Jharkhand, if any intruder marries our tribal sister, his son or daughter will not get tribal certificate, this is our promise. If the father is not a member of the tribe and is an interloper, they will not benefit from tribal status. The BJP promises that if a tribal girl marries an intruder, until the tribal society allows it, that family will not be allowed to contest Mukhiya’s election.

He said that the people of Jharkhand have been seeing the Hemant government for the last five years. He promised to create five million jobs after forming government, but did anyone get it?
