There doesn’t appear to be a lack of interest in quarterback Daniel Jones following his release from the New York Giants.

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported Sunday that 10 teams “have already contacted” Jones, with one potential suitor giving him the opportunity to play immediately.

Glazer also confirmed that the signal caller preferred to sign with a playoff-contending team, which was previously reported by ESPN. Adam Schefter. According to Schefter, the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings are considered “two of the most likely teams” to sign Jones.

It’s unclear if the team offering the 27-year-old the opportunity to take the field immediately is also trying to make the playoffs, which will likely influence his free agency decision.

Given Jones’ contract balance of $11.8 million for his 2024 campaign as well as $23 million in injury guarantees after the regular season, he is expected to clear waivers Monday and will sign a one-year contract with a new team “as soon as possible” (via Schefter).

It may be difficult for him to find a landing spot that fits both of his stated interests, as teams competing for a playoff spot typically have a stable quarterback situation.

ESPN Jeremiah Fowler listed the San Francisco 49ers as a “situation to watch” for Jones on Saturday, which could allow him to see immediate action. Starter Brock Purdy will not play in Week 12 due to a shoulder injury.

The Ravens offer a reserve role on a team with competing aspirations as they appear headed to their third straight playoff appearance with a 7-4 record. Jones would, however, fall squarely behind reigning MVP Lamar Jackson on Baltimore’s depth chart.

Las Vegas gives him a clearer path to playing time given the inconsistency of Gardner Minshew and Desmond Ridder, but the Raiders dropped out of the playoffs with a 2-8 start to the season.

Despite his bench in New York which ultimately led to his request being waived, Jones is still drawing interest from several teams before clearing waivers Monday at 4 p.m. ET.
