Redmi will present the flagship K80 Pro on November 27, but the Xiaomi brand does not hesitate to reveal the specifications before the launch. This morning we learned some major details about the camera setup on the back, including that this will be the first time we’ll see a Redmi K phone with a telephoto lens and that it will have OIS.

Redmi K80 Pro camera details

The main camera is simply listed as having a Sony LYT-800 sensor, and we know it’s 50 MP. OIS is also coming for this shooter, which is less of a surprise. The telephoto camera will also have a 50 MP sensor, and thanks to the “floating” lens, as Redmi calls it, the shooter will be able to take close-up photos 10 cm from the object.

The ultra-wide-angle camera will have a 32 MP sensor and a 120-degree field of view – another major improvement over the mediocre UW shooters of previous Redmi K phones.

The brand is so proud of the Redmi K80 Pro cameras that it shared two samples on its Weibo profile. They are taken with the telephoto lens and the spider is only 10 cm from the camera.

Xiaomi will launch the Redmi K80 Pro in China. It will have a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a powerful 6,000 mAh battery. We will have to wait and see if the device will leave the domestic market under the same name or go global under the Poco brand.
