Azets toasts tradition and raises money for charity

Azets organized the annual Beaujolais lunch for its professional contacts and referents at the Henry Tudor Inn. In accordance with tradition, it took place on the third Thursday in November.

The 2024 event sold out in record time with 55 guests in attendance.

This day traditionally marks the start of the festive season of networking events and raises funds for good causes.

This year the event was raising funds for Pebbles Project, a charity that provides children in South Africa’s farming communities with access to quality educational programs and health, nutrition and social work services. .

The event, which has so far raised over £1,000, also saw the draw of a fabulous Shropshire Hamper, courtesy of Jess Woodall, of the Shropshire Hamper Company.

Francesca Hutcheson, Tax Associate at Azets’ Shrewsbury office, said: “We are delighted to be the current custodians of this event, which dates back to the 1980s, and to see such a fantastic turnout at this year’s lunch. It’s a wonderful reminder of why Shropshire is such a great place to live, work and do business.

Photographer Steve Leath visited the event.
