Black Ops 6 players report fake phantom bans as Ricochet can’t tell who’s cheating

Black Ops 6 players have been hit with phantom bans despite claiming not to use cheats, demanding developers fix the problem.

Black Ops 6 is finally available after a short beta period. While the fans sang his praises, calling it the “best” CoD always and flocking to a specific game mode due to its incredible character, the game is not without its problems.

One of them is how players were shadowbanned despite not using any cheats, as pointed out by the anti-cheat police department account via a post on.

Stating that the situation is “concerning,” they mentioned that it appears Ricochet “can’t tell the difference between legit and legit players.” cheaters“, which led to these false bans on their AI detection system.

And of course, on X alone, by searching for “Black Ops 6 Shadow Banned” you will see tons of posts from players who have encountered this issue.

“I was shadowbanned for no reason other than people reporting me in droves. Fix your game. I didn’t pay £70 for this! wrote a user, attaching an image informing them of limited matchmaking and that their account is “not eligible for a call”.

Many players in the comments claimed to have encountered the exact same thing: finding themselves unable to play the game after being shadowbanned.

“I bought Black Ops 6 2 days ago. And I already banned Shadow. And there is no way to appeal? I’m probably less than 10 hours into the game and now it’s unplayable,” wrote another user.

As the platform continues to be flooded with complaints, the anti-cheat police department ended its post with: “Imagine paying $70 for a game and being banned for playing well! Many players are affected. What will Activision and Call of Duty do about this problem? ” although they have yet to respond as of this writing.
