As the home stretch of the 2024 season dawns, the top of the Big Ten has split. It remains to be seen who will end up in Indianapolis for the conference title game, but clear contenders have emerged, including three teams ranked in the top five in the AP poll.

There was no movement in the top five of The Oregonian/OregonLive’s Big Ten football power rankings this week, with the Oregon Ducks still firmly in control at No. 1, followed by Ohio State, Penn State, Indiana and Illinois. This is the third week in a row that these five teams – in that order – have topped the power rankings.

Iowa moved up two spots to sixth after overtaking Northwestern, with Nebraska back in seventh and Wisconsin dipping to eighth after losing at home to Penn State.

USC moved up a few spots, while Washington and Michigan State each fell after their losses.
