The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association will no longer release field hockey and girls volleyball state tournament rankings on Tuesday after a court injunction was issued in favor of a western Massachusetts school on Monday.

The MIAA was notified Monday afternoon that the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District and individual student plaintiffs had submitted the injunction, according to a statement from the organization.

The injunction is the result of an agreement reached between the MIAA and the Pioneer Valley Interscholastic Athletic Association after several PVIAC schools failed to enter their schedules correctly. Schools were required to have full schedules – including “to be determined” (to be announced) games for the Western Mass Tournament – ​​on their calendars by September 13.
