Joe Lycett issues statement on sexuality after shock baby announcement

Joe Lycett released a witty statement about his sexuality after fans were shocked the news that he had welcomed his first child.

THE actor36, shared a photo on Instagram showing him on Saturday (October 26) holding the baby, who he said was born in Birmingham Women’s Hospital. While Lycett is known for his pranks, it was widely reported that her son’s birth was no joke.

“I’ve seen a lot of misinformation circulating in recent days about pansexuality so I thought I would explain it properly,” Lycett said in a post alongside a painting on his Instagram on Monday (October 28).

The informative gag appeared to be a response to people who thought the TV personality was attracted to men and expressed surprise that he had a child.

“Pansexuality is actually closely related to the pangolin (made famous as the intermediate host of SARS-CoV2) and actually has nothing to do with sex or any of that woke stuff, but rituals of mating that are primarily linked to smell and are strictly seasonal,” he continued.

“If someone tells you they are pansexual, be sure to look at their nostrils, especially in late spring, as there is a good chance they are looking for a partner (in peak season they can detect odors up to 80 miles away, unless they have a sinus infection to which they are prone).

In April, Lycett revealed he was in a relationship with a woman he calls Denise, for privacy reasons.

“So I have Winston the cat and my partner Denise. And, uh, her name is not Denise, but I’m not talking about her, because she has a job that she can’t show to the public,” he said.
