Trump on MSG rally criticism: ‘It was love for our country’, Nazi comparisons are ‘terrible to say’

Former President Trump responded to Democrats’ criticism of his campaign rally at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, saying it was “love in the room and love for our country.”

Trump called comparisons some Democrats made between his rally and the 1939 Nazi rally at the same venue “terrible to say.”

Trump said there was “love in that room” and “it was breathtaking,” describing it as an “absolute love fest.”

He also said that Vice President Kamala Harris was referring to Adolf Hitler and the Nazis in the final stretch of the presidential campaign because “her record is horrible.”

Trump said Harris “erased” the US-Mexico border in less than 4 years.

Trump has pledged to seize the assets of “criminal gangs” and drug cartels and use the funds to compensate the families of victims of illegal immigrant crime.

“We are the party of common sense and we are the party of fairness,” he said.

He said Harris wanted to defund Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as a U.S. senator from California. He said ICE is critical to apprehending and deporting illegal immigrants with criminal records.

Trump reiterated that migrants who kill someone on American soil should face the death penalty.

Trump noted that the U.S. Border Patrol has again endorsed him for the 2024 election.

“I stand for a plan to save America,” Trump said at the news conference. “This will save him from the incredible destruction caused by crooked Joe Biden and Kamala.”

Trump said there had been some “bad spots” in Pennsylvania, referring to fraudulent ballots discovered in two counties, but that overall “the election itself is going very well.”

“We are going to fight like hell for the next 7 days,” he said.
