QUITMAN, Texas (KLTV) – A boil water advisory issued Friday for the city of Quitman has been canceled.

According to the city Tuesday, the public water system has taken the necessary steps to restore water quality. Water supplied to city customers no longer requires boiling before consumption.

Quitman ISD, which canceled classes Monday and Tuesday due to the advisory, announced on Facebook that classes would resume Wednesday.
