Los Angeles Clippers’ new Intuit Dome has exorbitant fans

1. I saw a lot of people on social media today going crazy over the Clippers’ new arena. The Wall, a segment filled with the home team’s fans going wild behind a basket, looks to be a big hit, and that’s all well and good.

And maybe it’s my old age and jaded perspective on things, but I don’t understand how anyone can praise a new arena when it costs $70 to park there.

SEVENTY DOLLARS! TO PARK THE VEHICLE! IN A MEANINGLESS SEASON BASKETBALL GAME.

Am I the only one who finds this beyond insane?

It’s disgusting, but the truth is that no group would willingly and happily allow this to be exploited any further than sports fans, so no one will have any dirt on it.

We’re paying for a million streaming services. We pay exorbitant prices for cable. We pay ridiculous prices for tickets. We pay even more ridiculous prices for concessions. We pay exorbitant prices for parking. And forget about clothes and gear.

It never ends, it gets worse and I can’t understand it.

2. A brand new chapter SI Media via Jimmy Traina dropped this morning and includes a conversation with CBS’ James Brown.

for a long time NFL Today The host talks about his pre-broadcast life, the time he went to Harvard University and tried to join the Atlanta Hawks, and what he went through when he didn’t make the team.

Brown then launches into his broadcasting career and discusses his decision to leave Fox’s pregame show to join CBS and what he expects to get out of it. NFL Today changes every week NFL Today What does a typical Sunday look like each week this season with Phil Simms and Boomer Esiason out and Matt Ryan in, and his biggest broadcast fail was his epic 1-2 play-by-play punch.

Following Brown, Sal Licata of WFAN radio and SNY TV in New York joins me for our weekly “Traina Thoughts” segment. This week’s topics include the Dodgers-Yankees World Series, terrible gambling tempo, the NFL trade deadline falling on Election Day, and a review of the movie. saturday night.

3. I led Traina Thoughts on Wednesday Talking to President Barack Obama The Young Man and the Three podcast about him Key and Peel The skit that turned into real life at the Olympics with some NBA stars.

I then started listening to the rest of the podcast and I said this on Twitter last night and I’ll say it here too. With NBC and Amazon entering the NBA next season, these networks need talent. I have no idea if there’s a possibility of a former president becoming an NBA analyst, but these outlets should definitely look into whether President Obama contributes.

Frankly, I don’t expect President Obama to make a weekly appearance on pregame shows, but there is a way to use him as a periodic contributor, whether it’s an article or an interview.

This clip of him criticizing the NBA All-Star Game and giving Tyrese Haliburton a hard time is as good as anything I’ve seen on an NBA show recently.

And not just because the look on Haliburton’s face as he gets berated by the former President of the United States is priceless.

4. One of the best parts of sports is seeing something you’ve never seen before.

I’ve been watching sports since the 1980s and have never heard of an athlete getting jury duty.

But that’s what happened to Dallas’ standout shooter Brandon Aubrey. And he couldn’t get out of it!

5. If you’re looking for a college football team to compete the rest of the season, make it Penn State.

Check out this childish and pathetic reaction from Nittany Lions coach James Franklin when the media tried to ask him about rape accusations against two of his former players.

Literally all he had to do was not comment, instead he made a spectacle of the situation.

6. It sure sucks that I didn’t see this before and said it earlier this week, but the fact that Seahawks cornerback Tarik Woolen used an illegal stream to watch his team play while injured and then bragged about it on Twitter automatically makes Woolen one of my favorite NFL players. someone is doing the players of 2024

7. RANDOM VIDEO OF THE DAY: While playing Rams Thursday Night Football Tonight I thought today might be a good time to remember the famous “Chris Evert” incident that would have set Twitter on fire if it had happened back then.
