Downtown Las Vegas sees gaming revenue increase in September

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – New numbers from the Nevada Gaming Control Board show a year-over-year increase in the state’s gaming revenue for September.

According to the report, unrestricted gaming license holders reported total revenue of $1,312,902,449 in September 2024. Compared to the same period last year, the state saw an increase of 3.34 % of its income.

Overall, however, the current fiscal year saw a revenue decline of 2.59% last month.

In Southern Nevada, downtown Las Vegas would see a huge year-over-year increase in revenue of 33%, beating out the Strip, which saw a decline of almost 2%.

Also of note is the Boulder Strip, which saw a 19% increase.

Up north, Reno also saw strong numbers with a 12% increase in gaming revenue. North and South Lake Tahoe would also report decreases of 14.80% and 18.84%, respectively.

On top of all those wins, the state would collect $99,428,847 in fees from the September wins. Compared to last year, fees increased by 32.37%.
