50 Cent explains why he turned down Trump’s $3 million offer to perform at MSG

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson not going to leave Donald Trump be his political pimp – or at least not publicly.

The “Candy Shop” rapper told “The Breakfast Club” Tuesday morning, a radio broadcast announcing that he had turned down an offer to perform at Trump’s hate rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday evening.

The topic came up when host DJ Envy asked 50 Cent if it was true that Trump “tried to give you money to support him once?”

“I got a call,” the rapper replied. “But they wanted me (for) Sunday.”

DJ Envy and his co-hosts seemed a little confused that this offer came so recently, citing a report that Trump asked 50 Cent to perform at the Republican National Convention over the summer.

50 Cent clarified that he was indeed invited to perform at the RNC, but he was also invited to perform at Sunday’s MSG rally.

“They offered $3 million,” he said, presumably referring to Sunday’s rally.

“I’m afraid of politics,” rapper 50 Cent said after turning down an offer to perform at Donald Trump’s rally in New York.

50 Cent added that the negotiations “didn’t even get that far.”

“I’m afraid of politics,” explained the rapper, to the laughter of the show’s hosts. “You understand? I don’t like any part of them.

“That’s because when you get involved in this matter, no matter how you feel, someone passionately does not agree with you. This is the formula for confusion that sent Kanye to Japan,” 50 Cent continued. “(Kanye) said something…and now he can only go to Japan.”

The hip-hop artist better known as Kanye – who legally changed his name to Ye – has become a polarizing figure in recent years for reasons including, but not limited to, his support for the MAGA movementher dam of anti-Semitic comments, public animosity towards his ex-wifeand the allegations of sexual misconduct And assault.

Rumors started circulating earlier this month that Ye had moved to Japan.

It’s unclear where 50 Cent stands in the presidential race, although he expressed solidarity with Trump after the July assassination attempt. At the same time, he openly criticizes rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, who faces charges of sex trafficking and racketeering and hundreds of allegations of sexual abuse and assault. 50 Cent claims he’s been gathering damaging information about Diddy for years and works with Netflix to produce a docuseries on the accusations, promising that Proceeds will be used to support survivors of sexual assault.
