Multiple Agencies Seize Illegal Marijuana From Mead Warehouse

MEAD, Okla. (KXII) – Multiple law enforcement agencies could be seen seizing marijuana plants from a warehouse in Mead Tuesday morning.

Bryan County Undersheriff Joey Tucker told News 12 the operation is “targeting illegal grows in the county” and they are “currently executing several search warrants.”

Tucker said they were removing all the illegal marijuana at the site just off US-70 in a business park in Mead and loading it into dump trucks and had filled six trucks up now.

Illegal marijuana is photographed, weighed and taken to a destruction site, Tucker said.

Tucker said the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and the Drug Enforcement Agency are assisting in the operation.

There is no word yet on any arrests, but Bryan County Sheriff Johnny Christian said more information would be released later today.
