BELTON, SC (FOX Carolina) – The Broadway Water and Sewer District has issued a boil water advisory after repairing a broken water main along Broadway School Road in Belton on Tuesday.

Authorities said the water main was repaired around 4:30 p.m.

The rupture affected areas along Griffin Road, Dorchester Road, Matthews Drive, Sylvia Road, Harbor Road, Cox Lake Road and Pulliam Drive. Broadway School Road, from Cox Lake Road to Dorchester Road, was also affected.

Affected individuals are advised to boil water vigorously for three to five minutes before drinking or cooking.
