This documentary follows the launch of Return homethe five-year program set up by the Prince of Wales to prove that ending homelessness is possible by working with six sites across the UK. “I come with the sole purpose of desperately trying to help people who need it,” he says. With several homes and over £20 million from the Duchy of Cornwall as private income, he has been accused of “hypocrisy” (there are, however, plans to build social housing on Duchy land). Others might see this project as a band-aid. In any case, the Prince has had a long-standing interest in this area.

This cozy crime drama This must surely be a push for a recommission, such has been the overwhelmingly positive popular and critical response. For now, the latest puzzle facing David Mitchell’s accidental detective, who is posing as a twin, involves his own sister-in-law, Lucy (Anna Maxwell Martin). She was caught literally in the act, holding a bloody kitchen knife that was used to murder police IT specialist Holly (Sophie Willan). Will Ludwig be able to simultaneously prove his innocence while trying to solve the biggest mystery of his brother’s disappearance? Or will the latter prove to be a rather welcome hook for series two?

Helmand: Tour of Duty

9 p.m., BBC Two

A decade after the withdrawal of British combat troops from Afghanistan, this documentary tells the story of a single group of the Welsh Guards, deployed to the frontline of the war in Helmand province in 2009 – a period known as the name “British Army War”. the bloodiest summer in more than half a century. Built on the raw, unfiltered accounts of ten men, as well as testimonies from their family members, the film also explores the ongoing impact the tour had on them, with the veterans reflecting on how they treated events, particularly in the context of the resurgence of the Taliban. in Afghanistan in 2021.

Kevin McCloud celebrates 25th anniversary of the program specially revisiting the very first project in the series in the coastal town of Newhaven, East Sussex. In 1999, Tim and Jules, owners of the paragliding school, wanted to build a new family home on the cliffs in just three months due to Jules’ pregnancy. When McCloud last visited, the house was barely finished. Now he’s coming back to see how it all happened.

Saving lives at sea

The always dramatic maritime rescue documentary series, using body cameras worn by RNLI crews, shows volunteers coming to the aid of a family stuck in their car on the causeway linking the sacred island of Lindisfarne to the Northumberland mainland. They risk being slowly swallowed up by the sea, while on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast a fossil hunter also risks being isolated by the rising tide.
