Confirmation of the first 6 station toilet locations

The funny thing about London is that although we are good at certain things, like restaurants And pubsother things we’re not very good at. Like public toilets. It doesn’t matter if we’re one of the best cities in the world, if you’re out and need to pee, you can probably count on it there. I’m not in the toilet.

But all that could be about to change. TfL has announced plans to invest £15 million in more public toilets across the travel network. Sweet relief!

TfL begins rolling out its plan for more toilets on the Tube, which London Mayor Sadiq Khan first announced in January. Khan plans to spend £3million a year over the next five years to ensure there are more accessible places to pee when traveling around the city.

The transport body will introduce new free and accessible toilets, as well as refurbishment of existing toilets across TfL’s network. To ensure Londoners don’t have to hold them back for too long, TfL wants to ensure passengers are always within 20 minutes of a toilet, without having to change trains.

The first phase of the project is underway, with non-accessible toilets in Amersham, Green Park, Seven Sisters and Sudbury Hill starting to be made accessible. Travel officials also created a shortlist of locations for lavvies. The toilets might be open, drum roll please…

Could this be the end of Walthamstow Beer Mile?
