New Zealand’s first three-person swing on its way to Queenstown

David Mitchell, CEO of AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand, said the swing would complement existing facilities, “enriching” the visitor experience.

“The swing launch area is adjacent to the Kawarau Bungy viewing platform, so spectators will have a great view of all the action as their friends and family traverse the Kawarau Gorge,” he said. he declared.

AJHBNZ co-founder and chief executive Henry van Asch said the new addition would add a level of personal challenge to the bungy and zipline at the Bungy Centre.

“This is an opportunity for a wider audience to create lasting memories and embrace our “Live More, Fear Less” philosophy. »

The company will also install its recent tourism technology innovation, EpicShot, to complement the 13 cameras installed at the Kawarau Bungy Center since June this year.

AJHBNZ subsidiary EpicShot is a software platform that uses built-in iPhone 15 technology and a custom iOS app to record and edit content for customers in real time.

Detailed designs for the swing are expected to be completed over the summer, and the swing will be ready for use by next winter.

“All stages of development will incorporate AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand’s proven safety systems, built on more than 30 years of experience delivering exciting yet safe adventures,” Mitchell said.

As part of the development, around 2,000 native species will be planted along the north face of the Kawerau Gorge.
