Richard Simmons’ Brother Fires Back In Estate Battle, Says ‘This Litigation Is Completely Against His Values’

Richard Simmons’ family apparently has the last laugh against his former house manager, Teresa Reveles, as his brother, Lenny Simmons, has broken his silence on the estate battle. Recently, Reveles, who worked as Simons‘, the director of the home until his death, filed a restraining order against the family.

She claimed she was forced to give up her position as “co-trustee” of the estate. This was responded to by the late fitness icon’s brother, Lenny.

Speaking to People magazine on October 30, Lenny, who recently lost his brother, broke his silence saying he wants to be the keeper of his brother’s name and legacy. He said: “I am only interested in protecting and maintaining my brother’s legacy. »

Reveles’ petition claimed that Lenny participated in planning, promoting and carrying out “nefarious” schemes related to his finances immediately after Simmons’ death. As she does not speak English as a first language, it was difficult for her to understand what she was signing. Additionally, Reveles claimed that Lenny conspired with Michael Catalano, who was the late fitness guru’s manager for many years.

Lenny said: “We have filed documents with the court that address and refute what Teresa claimed.” He also defended Catalano in his statement, arguing that the criticism against him was unwarranted because he had always been a true friend and manager of Simmons.

Lenny added: “Michael worked tirelessly for Richard throughout his life, often without pay, and continues to do so even after his death. It is a shame that Teresa is trying to tarnish his reputation and damage his career .”

Reveles claimed that after Simmons, Lenny and Cathy’s funeral, his wife immediately took her to a meeting where they wanted to discuss matters regarding Simmons’ finances. However, Lenny told the outlet that he detailed all of the reasons he declined her request to become co-trustee of his late brother’s estate in his court filing.

The fitness icon has been discovered unresponsive on the floor of his house by Reveles on July 13. He died at the age of 76 from “blunt traumatic injuries” in his fatal fall.

Lenny concluded his statement by revealing his expectations for the process to conclude quickly, saying: “This litigation, which I did not initiate, is completely contrary to his beliefs and values.” He wants the world to remember the good things that his late brother, Richard Simmons, always embodied: smiling, being kind and positive.
