Janelle Monáe stuns by transforming into a movie character for Halloween

She also devotes her imagination to fleshing out the characters’ backstories and often goes methodical during the process.

“Halloween is such a joyful space for me,” she said THR. “This has been the case since I was a child. This opens up a broader discussion about how can we become agents of joy? How to become agents of happiness? How to become agents of the imagination? I’m just doing what I want to see more of. Bringing Halloween experiences and creative experiences is a work of heart, not hard work. I do this because my heart needs it.
