AEW Injury Updates: Nicholas Jackson Injured Shoulder, Bandido Ready to Return

Image: AEW

Now former AEW Tag Team Champion Nicholas Jackson is working with a separated shoulder that has been bothering him for weeks.

This news comes from Bryan Alvarez who took note of the injury in his AEW Dynamite recap for this site. He did not provide details of when or how this was suffered.

Nicholas and Matthew Jackson lost the titles on Wednesday at Fright Night Dynamite to Private Party, then announced they would be “working from home” by leaving the arena due to the AEW scene being too chaotic.

The brothers have worked steadily in recent months, without long periods of inactivity, so it is unclear when the injury was sustained.

Last night Wrestling Observer RadioDave Meltzer noted that the high-flying Bandido is ready to return at any time.

Bandido injured his wrist in June 2023 and after an initial surgery in July, the wrist did not heal properly and he had to undergo a second surgery in December 2023. It was hoped he would return in April or May 2024, but that was not the case. that was not the case.

Meltzer noted that the 29-year-old was backstage in Salt Lake City, Utah, during last week’s Dynamite, but he wasn’t sure if he was in Cleveland for Wednesday’s show.
