Jets WR returns after concussion check

play

THE New York Jets are in a tight match with the Houston Texans on “Thursday Night Football”. There was concern that they would have had to finish the game without one of their top receivers: Davante Adams.

THE Jets were closing out the third quarter when Adams made a 17-yard gain on a critical fourth-and-1 from the Texans’ 48. He beat Houston’s score. Kamari Lassiter off the line of scrimmage and went well past the first down marker before the cornerback Eric Murray hit him out of bounds.

But Adams was slow to get up after the play and later was evaluated for a concussion. He was seen during the match broadcast leaving the field and heading towards the locker room.

Adams came back, however, taking the field in the fourth quarter as the Jets clung to a 14-10 lead. And it was an emphatic comeback, with Adams scoring his first Jets touchdown to give the team a 21-10 lead with 2:56 left.

Adams had six receptions for 54 yards on 10 targets when he left the game. This is the most catches he’s had in a Jets uniform since a trade brought him to the Las Vegas Jets.
