Jimmy Fallon And Sean Evans recently shared a laugh while looking back Selena Gomezthe “horrible” experience of trying the The hot ones challenge during a 2019 appearance on Tonight’s show.

Fallon spoke about it during his recent appearance on The hot oneswhere he declared that Evans “nearly killed an American treasure.”

As Evans laughed, Fallon recalled how Gomez struggled during the hot wings challenge.

“Selena Gomez, she left and ran; I went to knock on her dressing room door (and) she was throwing up in her sink,” Fallon recalled. “I say ‘Selena’ and she says, ‘Bring out the F!’ with an evil voice.

“I’ve never seen her like that — spit was pouring out of her mouth — and I’m like, ‘I’m so sorry,'” Fallon continued. “And we didn’t speak for another three years.”

After noting that it was his “favorite 30 Rock memory,” Evans added, “When she told you that and you closed the door, you looked at me and said, ‘She’s doing really good'”, with a thumbs up.

During Gomez Appearance 2019Evans explained that they were doing an “abbreviated” version of the challenge which, he warned, means they “get to the last touch very quickly, a hot sauce that’s over 400 times hotter than a jalapeño “.

Gomez already seemed fearful, telling Fallon that she might “regret this.”

Although the first wings were “not bad” for her, the challenge really came when they tried the Da Bomb Beyond Insanity sauce.

“What the hell!” she exclaimed after trying it on.

Evans continued to question them as they struggled with the hot sauce. But she retorted that she couldn’t “remember anything at the moment”, telling Evans: “It’s horrible.”

Fallon also pointed out that Gomez cried because of the hot sauce. But she still added the final touch of hot sauce to the wing, as part of the show’s tradition.

“I hate it,” she grumbled.

At the end of the segment, Fallon looked like he was going haywire as Evans challenged him to perform three impersonations so Gomez could identify him. But Gomez could barely play along. Instead, she turned to Evans, tears streaming down her face, and asked, “Why do you do this to people?”

However, it may be time for a second round. Gomez certainly kept her calm during the challenge — at least until she returned to her dressing room, apparently.
