It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas Walt Disney Worldwhich seems to have transformed from Halloween on vacation during the night.

It will take a little longer to all the decorations rise, but guests will notice more and more holiday spirit in the air over the next month, culminating with EPCOT International Holiday Festival kicking off after Thanksgiving.

The holiday season is the most popular time of year to visit the Florida resort town. All four theme parks are celebrating in their own way. Only Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party And Disney Jollywood Nights require special tickets. Other seasonal offerings are included with regular admission, and some activities don’t require a ticket.

Here’s what Disney World guests can expect this holiday season.

What is Magic Kingdom doing for Christmas?

Magic Kingdom is hosting Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, a special ticketed after-hours event on select nights throughout the holiday season.

Daily guests can board the Jingle Cruise, a holiday edition of the Jungle cruisewho returns on November 2, according to the manager Disney Parks Blog.

THE Frozen Holiday Surprise the stage show returns to Cinderella Castle every night.

Guests with Magic Band+ can hear holiday greetings from Golden Fab 50 character sculptures throughout the Magic Kingdom.

What are the dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2024?

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will take place:

  • November 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29
  • December 1st, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20

The limited capacity event is not included with standard admission and Magic Kingdom will close early to regular guests on holiday nights. The event officially runs from 7 p.m. to midnight, but guests can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. Tickets for Mickey’s Christmas Party range from $169 to $219, depending on the date, and some dates are already sold out.

Highlights of the event include special entertainment like Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmas Fireworks Show, Mickey’s Merriest Celebration Stage Show, as well as character greetings and dance parties not offered on normal park days.

Attendees also receive free cookies and seasonal drinks at select locations throughout the park, as well as a small souvenir to take home. Additionally, because capacity is limited, wait times for attractions are typically much shorter than usual.

Are Disney’s Hollywood Studios decorated for Christmas?

Yes. Much of Disney’s Hollywood Studios gives off a vintage Christmas vibe for the holidays, although Toy Story Land’s Christmas decorations stay true to its theme. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge remains pretty much the same.

What days do Jollywood Nights take place?

Disney Jollywood Nights will take place:

  • November 9, 13, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30
  • December 2, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21

Like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Jollywood Nights is not included with standard admission and Hollywood Studios will close early to regular park guests on event dates.

Tickets for Jollywood range from $159 to $179. This year’s limited-capacity event runs from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., but Jollywood guests can enter Hollywood Studios as early as 6 p.m.

The event is open to all ages, although its Old Hollywood atmosphere may particularly appeal to adults. Kids of all ages can enjoy shorter waits for attractions, encounters with rare characters like Santa Duffy, and a new dance party with Pixar characters. Other Jollywood highlights include a new ice skating show called Glisten! and returning entertainment, including What Is It? Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along and a new Muppet Christmas Carol photo shoot, among others.

Although there are no free snacks throughout this event, Jollywood guests will receive a Wondermade candy upon leaving the park, according to the event webpage.

Is Animal Kingdom doing anything special for Christmas?

Starting November 12, guests will be able to interact with Merry Menagerie puppets representing winter wildlife near the Tree of Life.

That same day, Santa will arrive for the Dino Institute’s 75th annual party in Restaurantosaurus at DinoLand USA, guests can take photos with him there and throughout the resort through December 24. It’s worth noting that this will be DinoLand USA’s last big holiday hurray; parts of the the land will begin to close in January to reimagine as part of a new terrain on the theme of the tropical Americas.

Throughout the holidays, Mickey and Minnie will be available for meetings in seasonal outfits at Adventurers Outpost.

What are the dates for the EPCOT Holiday Festival?

EPCOT International Holiday Festival 2024 runs from November 29 to December 30. other EPCOT festivalsthe event is included in regular park admission, add additional value to standard tickets.

Event-specific entertainment includes JOYFUL! Seasonal celebration performances celebrating both Christmas and Kwanzaa, the candlelight procession narrated by celebrities and holiday storytellers around World Showcase. Festive food and drinks are also available at Holiday Kitchen kiosks at World Showcase.

Additionally, during the holidays, Living with the Land will transform into Glimmering Greenhouses – Living with the Land. A limited capacity special Behind the Seeds Tour of Glimmering Greenhouses is also available for $45 on the same evenings as the festival.

Which Disney hotel has the gingerbread house?

Every holiday season, fans flock to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa to see its massive gingerbread house, large enough to accommodate a Christmas treat shop. Guests cannot go inside, but they can purchase gingerbread from the pop-up shop.

This year’s details are still under wraps, but in the past, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge have also hosted gingerbread displays.

Most people should plan to take free transportation to hotels; Hotel parking is generally limited to overnight guests and guests with restaurant or spa reservations.

Is Disney Springs decorated for the holidays?

Yes. Disney Springs is dotted with individually themed Christmas trees for free Walk in the Christmas tree. This year’s themes will include Mufasa: The Lion King and Lilo and Stitch, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

Each night, fake snow will fall on patrons of the shopping, dining and entertainment complex.

Further details have not been announced, but historically, Jock Lindsey’s Shed The bar received a holiday overlay. There have been seasonal entertainment, and at Disney Springs and the larger resort, special food and drinks are offered just for the holidays.

Is Disney World still decorated for Christmas in January?

Disney World’s Christmas decorations stay up until New Year’s Eve and begin coming down on January 2nd. Like installation, the process takes several weeks, so it’s not uncommon for riders to still see Christmas decorations during the Walt Disney World Marathon. Next year marathon weekend is from January 8 to January 12.
