I Attended My Ex-Boyfriend’s Wedding – Now His Crazy Wife Says I’m Trying to Steal Him

Here’s the… ex?

A wedding turned into a nightmare when the groom’s ex-girlfriend attended his nuptials at his invitation – and the bride then accused her of trying to steal her husband.

The 36-year-old woman, herself married, recalled on Reddit that the two “parted amicably” after dating from the ages of 15 to 18 simply because they chose to go to faraway universities.

“Since college, we’ve kept in ‘Facebook familiar’ contact, where we’d wish each other happy birthdays or congratulate each other on milestones, but we’ve had no further contact in the 20 years since.” , he said. ex-written.

“About a year ago, I saw his engagement post on his Facebook and congratulated him.”

A few months later, the now-married 37-year-old messaged her to catch up on life since the glory days of high school and also expressed interest in a hometown wedding reunion with her and other mutual friends.

She accepted the invitation.

Fast forward to the ceremony, she said things were “incredibly normal” and the old high school gang “had a great time.”

However, things quickly took a turn for the worse.

“Sunday morning I wake up to a slew of Facebook messages from my ex’s new wife about my audacity to attend the wedding and how out of all his old girlfriends I was the only one who failed the test ” the woman wrote.

“She said that CLEARLY you shouldn’t attend an ex’s wedding unless you’re still hung up on him and I should be planning to steal her new husband.”

The woman initially apologized and said that she had simply gone to meet old friends, but the bride was not accepting this.

“She immediately responded and reiterated that no sane woman, with good intentions, would ever think it was OK to attend her ex’s wedding.”

Still feeling sorry, she then messaged her ex to tell him she had no ulterior motives for attending. The man later said the invitation had been “sincere” and he apologized for his new wife’s slip-up.

“I left it at that, thinking it was a closed case. A few hours later, the new wife messages me again, complaining about how I was trying to manipulate her new husband to make him seem crazy.

She then sent screenshots to her ex and decided it was best to block them both to avoid any further unwanted drama.

Yet hell hath no fury like an angry wife.

“Yesterday I started receiving messages from (the bride’s) sister saying that I had poisoned my ex against his new wife and that I should have kept these messages to myself,” the woman added.

“(I’m) also told that I could have avoided all of this by knowing that I (shouldn’t) attend my ex’s wedding.”

Asking the online community if she was wrong to participate, the woman received a resounding verdict of not guilty.

“Wow, that’s some bat shit.” So you went to the wedding with your husband and he’s your wingman while you try to rekindle your high school relationship…with the groom…on his wedding day?!” was said of the thought process of the bride.

Meanwhile, another said it was a huge late wake-up call for the newlywed.

“I hope it’s not too late for him to get an annulment…his fiancée seems…well, psychotic.”
