MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Nearly 3,000 people crossed the Syrian border from Lebanon over the past day, said Captain First Rank Oleg Ignasyuk, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Parties in Syria.

“At least 2,966 people crossed the border from Lebanon into Syria through the border crossings of al-Arida, al-Jawasiyeh, al-Dabousiyah, Jisr al-Qamar and Jdeidet Yabous in the last 24 hours. Efforts are underway to monitor a ceasefire between the belligerent parties,” he said.

According to Ignasyuk, over the past day the terrorist groups carried out five bombings against the positions of the Syrian government forces in the Idlib de-escalation zone.

“Fifteen violations of Syrian airspace by aircraft of the US-led international coalition were recorded in the Al-Tanf area over the past 24 hours, involving two pairs of F- fighter jets. 15 (twice), a pair of Rafale fighters (twice), a pair of Typhoon fighters and an MQ-9 reconnaissance and attack unmanned aerial vehicle,” Ignasyuk emphasized, adding that a total 386 violations had been recorded as of October 2024.
