A 31-year-old man wanted in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Keambra Bibbs, who was found dead in a parking lot on Main Street.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An arrest warrant has been issued for a 31-year-old man now accused of murdering a woman found dead in a parking lot on Main Street near the medical center in September.

Cerdarian Thompson is accused of shooting and killing 22-year-old Keambra Bibbs.

Now, Houston police say investigators need your help finding him.

Bibbs’ family has only spoken to ABC13 as they seek justice for their loved one’s death.

Almost two months to the day, Helen Lewis says it doesn’t get any easier as they mourn the loss of the 22-year-old.

Lewis, the victim’s mother, told ABC13 she is glad investigators have now named a suspect and charges have been filed against him.

“I would feel more relief once he was actually incarcerated,” Lewis said.

Lewis said losing a child is a pain no parent should endure.

“You can’t run and you can’t hide,” Lewis said as a message to Thompson. “I ask you as a pleading mother who took a child from me for the rest of her life. Why are you running? What are you afraid of?”

Police said Bibbs was found dead Sept. 4 in a parking lot on Main Street near the medical center with multiple gunshot wounds.

Lewis said her daughter knew her accused killer and believed she died for money.

“You dumped her body. She probably could have gotten away with it. You know what I’m saying? So justice has to be done,” Lewis said.

Court records show Thompson has a pending case for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, accused of shooting and nearly killing another woman in 2022.

On Friday afternoon, a woman told ABC13 she believed Thompson was a danger to society and hoped he would be found.
