KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: The General Department of Traffic has announced the launch of a comprehensive safety and traffic campaign on major highways. The operation required coordinated efforts from various sectors of the Ministry of Interior, deploying 45 road patrols, 57 emergency police patrols, 35 private security patrols and 45 public security patrols.

According to the department, the campaign resulted in the arrest of 50 people, including wanted persons and residential violators, who were handed over to the traffic police. Authorities also seized narcotics and recorded 1,344 traffic violations. In addition, 16 infringing vehicles and motorcycles were seized.
