Dave Portnoy called Zach Bryan an “immature, insecure baby” in a scathing criticism of the singer’s behavior following his split from Barstool bandmate Brianna Chickenfry this week.

Portnoy, appearing on The Unnamed Show, called Bryan a “fraud” and “the smallest man in the world” since leaving Brianna, real name LaPaglia, “blindsided” by announcing their split earlier this week on Instagram.

Now, the Barstool Sports founder has claimed that Bryan banned Portnoy from his Super Bowl show earlier this year in Las Vegas and reacted angrily during an interview Brianna gave at the Golden Globes.

Of the Super Bowl incident, Portnoy said: “Zach Bryan is performing, we were going to go to the concert, meet Bri and leave. I text Bri, she doesn’t answer me and eventually she calls me.

“She said, “I don’t know how to say this, I have some bad news. Zach banned you from going to the concert. “I’m like, ‘What? Banned for what?”

“Apparently Zach went back how many months ago?” Six months? Once, on BFFs (a podcast Portnoy and Brianna co-host), we had a discussion where Bri had a boyfriend and we were like “woah – that’s like her third boyfriend in a few months approx. You’re a revolving door of boyfriends lately.

“He saw this clip six months ago and banned us from going to the show. Bri was like ‘this is the first biggest fight we’ve ever been in’. I was like ‘this is what we do, what Are you (Bryan) crazy?”

“Fast forward, Bri is going to the Golden Globes. Zach isn’t here. Bri is interviewed on the red carpet, asked who she can’t wait to meet. He is a famous and impressive celebrity. And I think she’s saying “he’s handsome” or “I think he looks nice.”

“He unfollowed Bri on social media, blocked besties, like you, insecure baby. She’s on the red carpet being interviewed. He just seemed like a really immature, insecure baby. Unsure, so unsure.

“I didn’t see it (the interview) but I know it wasn’t much. I never got good vibes. She’s literally being interviewed on the red carpet.

“I think banning me from the concert for a joke a year ago is pretty crazy.”

DailyMail.com exclusively revealed on Wednesday that Bryan was struggling to cope with the “emotional roller coaster” he has been going through since the death of his mother Annette in 2016.

“Zach’s life has been a roller coaster of emotions since his mother’s death,” a close source said. “Zach struggles with mental health issues.

Brianna, real name LaPaglia, posted a tearful video this week about the split.

“His mother was his rock, and he was able to learn from her and her struggles, and now he doesn’t have that outlet.” Brianna was someone who stood up to Zach and dealt with all of his struggles.

Portnoy doesn’t believe him, though, saying on Unnamed: “His excuse will be ‘I have mental health issues’ – he’s said that before.

“He’s going to try to play defense with ‘I’ve had mental health issues since my mother passed away in 2016’.”

The couple had been together since the summer of 2023. Bryan announced the news by saying in a statement on Instagram: “About something: Brianna and I broke up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart.

“She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I will always thank her. I’ve had an incredibly difficult year personally and I’ve been through some pretty tough things.

“I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to come out in different ways. I’m not perfect and I never will be. Please respect Brianna’s privacy and space and if you have her in your heart, so does mine.

“With all that I am and to all those I have let down, I am sorry. I do my best in everything. I let down the people who love me and especially myself.
