Port of Camas-Washougal in “strong financial position” by 2025

As with all previous budgets, the port will use property taxes for capital projects, with $6.14 million in operating revenue funding an estimated $5.7 million in operating expenses, according to the site Port web.

Net income is estimated at $457,457, a slight increase from the projected figure of $381,667 for 2024.

“We’ve always had a goal of $250,000 in net income, which seems very, very small,” Finance Director Krista Cagle said at the Oct. 2 port commission meeting. “As a team, we decided, ‘What if we set this goal at 10% of operating revenue?’ » So for next year, that goal would actually be $614,000, so we’re just short of that goal.

The port projects Grove Field will bring in $714,000 in 2025 (11.6% of total revenue); Parker’s Landing Marina will generate $1.5 million (25 percent); real estate will bring in $3.9 million (63 percent); and parks and general administration will bring in $35,000 (0.7 percent).

The port plans to spend $1.067 million on 28 capital projects, including the rehabilitation of 35th Street, the energy efficiency of the industrial park, and the design and construction of a new sign for the facade of its administrative office .
