ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – In the final weekend of her historic 2024 presidential campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris is returning to Atlanta to hold a final rally in the state that could decide who occupies the Oval Office for the next four years. .

The rally will take place at the Atlantic Civic Center, 395 Piedmont Ave NE, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. According to her campaign, Harris will land at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport at 12:25 p.m. and deliver a speech around 1 p.m. :25 p.m. Then at 2:40 p.m., the vice president will leave for Charlotte, North Carolina.

Spike Lee and Victoria Monét will be guest speakers at the event, while 2 Chainz, Big Tigger, Monica and Pastor Troy will be musical guests.

When Harris arrives and departs from the Atlanta Civic Center, I-85 will likely be closed in south and downtown Atlanta.

The rally is part of a Georgia blitz led by both Democrats and Republicans. On Saturday, First Lady Jill Biden will visit Warner Robins, Macon and Savannah, while former President Bill Clinton will visit Augusta. On Sunday, Tim Walz and second gentleman Doug Emhoff will host an all-star gathering in Smyrna, including Bon Jovi.

New CNN Polls conducted by investigative firm Social Science Research Solutions shows a tight race in the battleground Georgia. Poll finds 48% of likely voters prefer Trump and 47% prefer Harris.

Early voting ended Friday in Georgia. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said more than 50% of active voters in Georgia, or more than 4 million people, have already cast ballots.
