T1 reveals the choices of the 2024 Worlds skin champions

The past, the present, the future.

Updated November 3 4:24h00 (GMT+8): Added more details on each champion.

On November 2, 2024, T1 won its fifth world title. They beat LPL’s Bilibili Gaming 3-2 to win the Summoner’s Cup, designed by Tiffany and Co.

This marked mid laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok’s fifth title. The rest of the team are now two-time winners and back-to-back champions. By winning, they had the chance to select the champions they want to get skins for at Worlds and work with Riot to customize them.

The Worlds skin line is a tradition in League of Legends for 14 years, where Riot Games has honored each team’s victory at the World Championship, immortalizing them forever in the game.

It’s worth remembering this same list chose Jayce, Lee Sin, Orianna, Jinx and Bard for their T1 Worlds 2023 skins. T1, as an organization, has already won Worlds in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2023 and has therefore contributed several skin lines to the game, cementing its legacy.

At the post-final press conference, T1 players revealed exactly which champions they are considering for their Worlds 2024 skins.

Zeus – Gragas, Camille or Ornn (top lane)

“I didn’t use that many champions at Worlds 2024,” Choi “Zeus” Woo-je said during the post-final press conference. “I’ll probably choose between Gragas, Camille or Ornn.”

Throughout Worlds 2024, Zeus has played the most against Jax and Gragas (four matches each), followed by Rumble and Gnar (three matches). He faced Camille and Ornn once, of which Ornn was used in the second match of the finals.

Oner — Vi or Xin Zhao (jungle)

Vi is Oner’s most played champion at Worlds 2024. He had a great match against this champion in their best-of-three series against G2 Esports during the Swiss leg.

He played Skarner, Sejuani, Xin Zhao and Poppy twice each. When T1 was losing 2-1 to Bilibili Gaming, Oner used Poppy in game four and Xin Zhao in game five to win the championship.

Faker – undecided (mid lane)

Just like during the last 2023 Worlds, Faker reiterated that he preferred to choose a skin that the majority of fans would like to use.

He actually used fewer varied champions than Zeus during this Worlds 2024. He faced Sylas six times in total, followed by Ahri (four games), Yone (three games), Galio (two games), and Neeko and Akali once.

Considering Sylas was the biggest game changer in a do-or-die fourth game in the finals, it’s likely he’ll end up in the Worlds 2024 skin lineup.

Gumayusi — Jhin or Varus (bottom lane)

Ashe and Xayah were used by Gumayusi a total of four times each, followed by Caitlyn (three times) and Kalista (twice).

He only used Jhin twice and Varus once during these 2024 Worlds, all of which ended in victories. He held a 12 KDA on Jhin and 10 KDA on Varus.

Against Gen.G in the semifinals, he had a remarkable performance on Varus in the fourth final game, finishing with a 6/1/6 KDA while contributing the highest damage share at 24.7%.

Keria — Renata Glasc or Pyke (support)

Keria mentioned that he didn’t think much about it, but from memory he was considering Renata Glasc or Pyke, his signing choices.

At last year’s Worlds 2023 final press conference, he also weighed between Renata and Bard, and ultimately opted for Bard.

It is likely that Renata Glasc will ultimately be chosen as she is their most played champion at the 2024 Worlds (six matches). Rakan, Leona, Pyke and Braum were played twice each, while Neeko, Bard and Poppy were used once.

On Renata, Keria contributed greatly to their series against Gen.G, and more importantly in Game 4 of the Finals against Bilibili Gaming, supporting Faker’s exploits with precise micro-moves.
