Kamala Harris to Make Surprise Appearance on ‘SNL’: How to Watch

play

There may have been no surprises in October, but Vice President Kamala Harris could achieve a big Saturday evening, just three days before the elections.

Harris will make a surprise appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” the final Saturday before the Nov. 5 election. NBC News reported that the Democratic presidential candidate would appear on the show.

The reporters traveling with the vice president went to Rockefeller Center, where the 50-year-old sketch series is filmed, just after 8 p.m. EST and stood in the “SNL” crew cafeteria shortly after their arrival .

In the final days of the campaign, Harris appealed to undecided voters, as did she and Republicans. Donald Trump are locked in a razor race for the White House, with the two candidates in a dead end in most of the seven swing states.

Harris campaigned Saturday in two key states: Georgia and North Carolina. She was scheduled to fly to Detroit Saturday evening, where she is expected to hold events Sunday in the swing state of Michigan. However, Air Force Two landed at LaGuardia Airport during an unannounced stopover in New York on Saturday evening.

Actress Maya Rudolph, a veteran of the series, returned last month to playing Harris for “SNL” as election day approaches. Harris previously said Rudolph’s impersonation of her was “so good.”

She’s so good,” Harris said during an interview on “The View” last month. “She had everything: the suit, the jewelry, everything. Wow, the manners.”

How to watch?

The episode will air live Saturday on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT. Viewers can also stream it the next day on Peacock.

Who hosts?

John Mulaney will host the show and Chappell Roan is the musical guest.

Chappell Roan, who became famous this spring, refused to endorse Harris in the election, but later said she would vote for her. The singer-songwriter expressed displeasure with Democrats’ handling of Israel’s war in Gaza and their stance on trans rights.

Presidential Candidates Have Already Appeared on “SNL”

Harris is not the first presidential candidate to appear on the show.

The two Trumps and democrat Hillary Clinton appeared on the show in 2015. Barack Obama also appeared on the show in 2007.

But these appearances were anticipated in advance, the candidates did not appear a few days before the legislative elections.
