Kaizer Chiefs’ poor form continued on Saturday night, as they lost 4-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns in Carling’s knockout quarter-final at ETFs Stadium.

The Soweto giants were all out for revenge after losing to the Brazilians in the Betway Premiership, but a double from Iqraam Rayners, paired with just one strikes by Peter Shalulile and Khuliso Mudau, earned the visitors a deserved victory.

Nabi’s message to Kaizer Chiefs fans after Sundowns defeat

In an interview after the match, according to iDiskiTimesNabi sent a message to Kaizer Chiefs fans after their club was beaten by Premier League Football rivals Mamelodi Sundowns on their home ground.

PSL confirmed before the match that tickets for the match were sold out, meaning many home fans were in attendance at the stadium.

Nabi pleaded with supporters, apologized for the club’s poor performance against the Brazilians and promised to work harder to achieve more positive results.

“I want to apologize to all the supporters, nothing worked for us today,” said the Tunisian mentor.
