Two people were arrested in connection with the event

An illegal rave at the former Wickes building in Bristol generated a lot of interest on the Bristol Reddit thread.

Two people were arrested and two vans loaded with sound equipment were seized after the unauthorized music event in Ashton on October 26.

Avon and Somerset Police said they understood the public’s frustration that the music had not been turned off before 0900 GMT on Sunday, but said they did not have the number of officers needed to put a end the event early.

Several posts reflected the idea that raves should take place in locations away from residential areas, to “benefit everyone – including ravers”.
