Severe storms swept across the state overnight Sunday.

Many Oklahomans will experience the damage caused by tornadoes or storms bringing high winds, rain and hail.

ROAD CONDITIONS AND CLOSURES

All lanes of northbound I-35 are closed at NE 50th Street due to flooding. ODOT says drivers should use extra caution in the area and may use I-235 as an alternate route.

What is the weather like on Sunday in Oklahoma?

Another large area of ​​storms moved through overnight. Some of these storms are violent and accompanied by torrential rain.

Additional storms are expected to occur throughout the day Sunday and into Monday night.

Even though drought dominates the headlines, flooding will be a concern in areas with the highest totals.

Sunday morning saw precipitation rates of up to 7″ per hour, with over 5″ of rain falling.
