    Pokémon TCG Pocket players think they’ve stumbled upon a pack trick that increases the chances of getting rare cards, but not everyone is convinced.

    An October 31 X/Twitter post, which has since gone viral and garnered millions of views, claimed that unopened packs of the mobile game were more likely to contain rare cards if the label at the top was visibly wrinkled.

    “Turn the bag on its side and look to the right side!” If there are twisted cards shuffled, chances are there is a rare card inside! » states the translated message, adding a warning in a follow-up that says: “This is just a possibility! Not sure.

    So, like all packs, regardless of their outward appearance?

    Does the so-called pack trick work? At the time of writing, there is no concrete evidence to suggest that packs with curled corners are more likely to contain rare cards.

    While players testing the theory have clips shared online of their own curled booster packs containing rare cards, just as many, after the process, reported receiving nothing but community cards despite opening several curly packages.

    Skepticism remained high elsewhere, with one user believing that the contents of each booster were predetermined and that the pack’s visual imperfections were nothing more than “eye candy”.

    "My curved backpack only held a basic Kangaskhan and my divine bag was just a normal-looking bag," they continued.

    The most likely outcome? With thousands of Pokémon fans tearing through digital packs in TCG Pocket, circumstantial patterns are bound to emerge.

    Either way, it will be interesting to see if The Pokemon Company catches wind of the viral theory and decides to comment. We will update this article if this happens.
