Baroka FC’s woes in the Motsepe Foundation Championship were compounded when Orbit College extended their winning streak to four matches.

A 3-2 defeat to leaders Milford at the Global Stadium on Saturday saw Baroka slip to 14th in the table and it was Bakgakga Ba Mphahlele’s third consecutive defeat.

At the Thohoyandou Stadium, an in-form Orbit College side brushed aside bottom-bottom Venda on Saturday with a 2-0 win to move them into fourth place.

Meanwhile, JDR Stars boosted their promotion ambitions by beating Pretoria Callies 1-0 in the Tshwane Derby encounter at Giant Stadium to sit third.

The action continued on Sunday as Black Leopards recorded a 2-1 victory over Cape Town Spurs at Athlone Stadium and the victory lifted Lidoda Duvha into second place, three points behind Milford.

Kruger United moved away from the relegation zone after beating Leruma United 4-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, which saw the second-tier newcomers move up to ninth place.
