Rams WR Puka Nacua ejected after throwing punch at Seahawks CB Tyrel Dodson

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua suited up Sunday despite reaggravating his knee injury in practice during the week. His appearance in the Week 9 game against the Seattle Seahawks was short-lived, however, although it wasn’t a result of his ailing knee.

Matthew Stafford tried to find Nacua on a deep pass late in the first half, but was spotted by Seahawks cornerback Tariq Woolen. Nacua tried to chase the ball but was blocked by Tyrel Dodson. In a moment of frustration, Nacua went after the Seattle defensive back, resulting in an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and ejection.

The incident happened just before halftime. Nacua could be seen briefly sitting on the bench before finally heading to the locker room.

Before his release, Nacua had just one reception on four targets for 11 yards. It was only his second game back in action after missing most of the start of the season with a lingering knee injury.

This is the first time in his NFL career that Nacua has been ejected.
